My parents and I went hiking in Shawnee, and I booked this because it was the nearest hotel that would also accept my dog at reasonable prices. I was wary because of reading the bad reviews, but it seems management has changed, and with it a total renovation of everything. Don't be fooled because it is a roadside inn - it's one of those hotels you see on the blue sign near the highway and you can see the Limited Inn sign way up high from the road. The lobby and building looks a bit oldish, but when we entered our room we were really surprised to see a new and modern hotel room. Everything was new and sparkling clean - bathroom, sink, dressers, everything. My mom was grumbling and wanted to go to a campground when we saw the building, but quickly changed her mind once we entered the room. Also, their continental breakfast is decent - cereal, bagels, juice, milk, fruit, that kind of thing. My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and so did our pup! It is also a good place to stay if visiting the Shawnee Forest (you have to be extra careful for ticks but it is beautiful!)
