2 Double Beds No Smoking

  The front desk clerk needs customer service training. On the breakfast choices were watered down juices and milk and stale bread. The handle on my room was broken... read more and you need both hands to open the door, something I had to get the front desk to open the first time. There wasn't a second lock on the door. The swivel lock was broken off. We had to stick a folded up napkin in the door to keep it from rattling and put a chair in front of it. There was a 2 inch gap under the door. There was a note on the door going upstairs warning of the broken hand rail. Lingering just outside the door of an evening were guests smoking and drinking beer. On the positive note, the lady who cleaned the room was very nice and our room appeared clean, newer carpet and shower was nice.

They are renovating but it's nothing you will hear or have in your way.

For the people complaining about breakfast items during a pandemic: It's $60. Go next door to McDonalds if packaged pastries aren't sufficient enough for you.

We checked in and got all our stuff into room and had... read more turned A/C on but it never cooled. The door was off the freezer portion of the mini fridge and it was frosted up. Found an old carton of McDonald’s food in the microwave and shower/tub had rust coming through. Informed front desk and we were moved to another room which appeared cleaner as tub not rusted, fridge was clean and door on freezer portion and no frost in freezer. The A/C unit in this room cooled it down nicely. However, walking across room I kicked a dog turd which was dried up-tossed that into the trash but finding it in the room made it hard to feel clean in the room-I don’t know their pet policy, so it’s possible someone snuck pet into room but I would hope with thorough cleaning you’d have found it. We brought our food as we were out hiking in the parks and wanted to be able to eat without driving back to a town; however the day of checkout on Sat., it had stormed, many roads flooded and hotel had many guests compared to during week when there were only 4-6 there. Out of coffee, only a few pastries were put out, I didn’t see any oatmeal, apples and waffles in pastry bin to... Price-can’t beat it, so my expectations were only for a clean, cool room with decent showers. Convenient as it’s only a half mile from tunnel hill trail but next time think I’ll stay in Ullin and road ride to trail. More
